The 'jali' has been used to represent the bias and discrimination faced by the Muslim community in several countries across the globe. Van Gogh's The Starry Night has been used to depict hope in the Islamic community to end this discrimination. There is a conflict as one half of the woman still wants to hide behind the 'jali' due to fear of judgement while the other wants to break free.
